Loneliness is the feeling these twenty verses answer most directly, because so many of them are about nearness. Ad-Duhaa 93:3 was revealed to a grieving Prophet: “your Lord has not taken leave of you, nor has He detested you.” Qaf 50:16 places God “nearer to him than his jugular vein”; Al-Waqi‘ah 56:85, “nearer to him than you, but you do not see.” Taha 20:46 is the reassurance given to Moses and his brother at their most exposed: “Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see.”

The Quran on loneliness: common questions

What does the Quran say about loneliness?
It answers loneliness mostly with nearness rather than company — that God is closer than the jugular vein (Qaf 50:16), that He hears and sees those who feel exposed (Taha 20:46), and that He has not abandoned the one who feels left (Ad-Duhaa 93:3). Twenty such verses are gathered here.
Which surah helps when you feel alone?
Surah Ad-Duhaa (93) is the one most often named — revealed during a pause in revelation that left the Prophet ﷺ feeling forsaken. Verses from Qaf, Al-Hadid, and Al-Waqi‘ah on this page speak to the same feeling.
Does the Quran say God is always with you?
Several verses on this page state it directly, including Taha 20:46 and Al-Waqi‘ah 56:85. Ibn Kathir’s tafsir for each explains what “with you” is understood to mean — by knowledge, hearing, and help, not by physical place.
